Upton Music School: Terms and Conditions
Kia ora and welcome to Upton Music School/Jambus! By enrolling with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These are designed to ensure a positive learning environment for students and smooth operations for the school
1. General Overview
1.1 Upton Music School operates on a term-based system, with each term consisting of 9 weeks. All students automatically enroll for the next term.
1.2 By enrolling in classes at Upton Music School, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Enrollment and Term Fees
2.1 Fees are charged per term and are paid in advance.
2.2 An invoice for the full term fee will be sent before the first week of each term, strictly
due within 30 days. If payment is not made within 30 days, the student will not be
permitted to attend the next lesson until payment is made.
2.3 Fees are non-refundable once the term has commenced, except under exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Upton Music School
2.4 Payment options include direct bank transfer, credit/debit card
2.5 Upton Music School reserves the right to accept or decline enrollment applications.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
3.1 No refunds will be provided for missed classes or for cancellations after the term has commenced.
3.2 In the event that Upton Music School cancels a class, a make-up class will be offered or a credit applied to the following term.
4. Missed Classes
4.1 Missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be carried forward to subsequent terms.
We are unable to offer catch up lessons or refunds for lessons missed for
illness or otherwise, due to an inability to replace the time slot with another lesson.
4.2 Catch up lessons cannot be given for group lessons.
5. Termination of Enrollment
5.1 Upton Music School reserves the right to terminate a student’s enrollment for breaches of school policies or disruptive behavior.
5.2 Refunds in the case of termination will be at the discretion of the school.
6. Health and Safety
6.1 Students must notify us of any relevant medical conditions or learning needs at the time of enrollment.
6.2 Upton Music School is not liable for injuries sustained on/in the premises/mobile classrooms, students must ensure appropriate care.
7. Changes to Schedule
7.1 Upton Music School reserves the right to amend class schedules, tutors, or locations with prior notice.
7.2 In the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics), classes may be rescheduled or moved online.
8. Public Holidays
8.1 Classes will not be held on New Zealand public holidays, and these will not be made up or refunded.
9. Media and Privacy
9.1 By enrolling, you consent to Upton Music School using photographs or videos of students for promotional purposes, unless otherwise stated in writing.
9.2 Personal information collected during enrollment will be used solely for administrative and communication purposes and will not be shared without consent.
10. Communication
10.1 All official communication will be via the email hello@uptonmusicschool.co.nz. It is the responsibility of students/parents to ensure contact details are up to date.
11. Amendments
11.1 The school reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions with prior notice.
